Introduction

UPQODE LLC built the MushTap app as a freemium mobile application. This service is provided by UPQODE LLC and is intended for use as described in this Privacy Policy.

By using MushTap, you agree to the collection and use of information as outlined below. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we handle your data.

1. Information We Collect

MushTap may collect the following types of information to improve the user experience and app functionality:

We do not require users to create an account or provide personal data to use the app.

b. Automatically Collected Data

  • Device information (device model, operating system version, language, and country).
  • Log data such as IP address, timestamps, app usage statistics, and crash reports.

c. Image Data

When using the mushroom identification feature, uploaded or captured photos are processed by our AI model.

  • Images are analyzed securely and may be stored temporarily on third-party servers for processing.
  • Images are not used to personally identify you and are not shared with advertisers.

  • To provide and maintain MushTap’s core features (mushroom identification).
  • To improve app performance and user experience.
  • To fix technical issues and monitor app stability.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data.

We may share limited information only with trusted third-party service providers that assist us in operating the app (e.g., AI image recognition services, analytics, and crash reporting tools).

4. Data Retention
  • Images uploaded for mushroom identification are stored only temporarily and automatically deleted after processing (typically within 24-48 hours).
  • Log and analytics data are retained for up to 2 years to improve app performance and provide customer support.
  • Personal information (name, email) collected through contact forms is retained for up to 3 years for customer support purposes.
  • Subscription data is retained for the duration of the subscription plus 7 years for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

  • Your photos and identification history are stored securely on our servers

Subscription features include unlimited mushroom identification scans and access to premium content. You can manage your subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.

We use RevenueCat as a third-party service to manage subscription status and provide customer support. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers and subscription information to provide these services.

MushTap may contain links to external sites (e.g., educational mushroom resources).

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.
